You need a joystick.

I got it the other day and have tried to play it without a joystick. It is pretty impossible to fly correctly and not spin out when just using a keyboard.

When I get some money in on the 15th I'm gonna order one off Play.com for £12.99. Theres two on there:

I tried to use the keyboard when I first got fs2004 and found it really hard. When I got a joystick it was much easier.
