I thought they were intercepted NEAR the UK Airspace, and not actually in it?

They were over the North Sea area heading to the UK airspace which is Nato Air space etc. We didn't have time for the north sea so we thought we do the Russians over the UK trying to bomb us

Autoland is for bad weather. Like Fog etc. He was Only learning it, give him a break.

are you actually forgetting that some people will use autoland to help them see what they should do when the manually land.
