As for the "keep your culture to yourself" people (thought that is taken from a particular post I am referring to a group not just that person) that's downright rude and ignorant. It's like saying don't celebrate Christmas on the Chinese Hotel. Also, England is multicultural, its not all purebred Brits. And I hate to break it to you guys, but believe it or not the UK is not the majority, or if it is, not by much, in terms of users on the UK Hotel (this is not counting the clones and stuff.)

And then you say that you want more competitions for the New Year which you end up calling "Rigged" anyway so its only an excuse to rag on Hotel Management even more and get even more fed up? We have Valentines Day, Christmas, Halloween, Mothers Day, why can't we have one foreign celebration?

    So yeah.
KK, all this is a touch mean. They're only having a conversation. A) China is a COMPLETELY different society from Britain; and I'm not saying everyone can't celebrate what they want, I'm thinking along the same lines. Why should the UK Habbo celebrate the Chinese New Year?Personally when I read about it I rolled my eyes. B) Britain is one of the least Mulicultural societies in the world (In terms of Western lifestyle. I could be wrong, so don't get angry about it!) A lot of celebrations in the world take place for New Year; that's why not every Hotel celebrates the "UK New Year" when they have their own. That's part of the reason I think it's ridiculous celebrating the CNY. Now, I am not being rude and ignortant by saying "All Chinese people don't celebrate it!" That would be extremly rude of me; however it is questionable why we are celebrating (mentioning and perhaps thinking about it would be okay) but CELEBRATING a non-English-speaking New Year in a non-English speaking country in a non-Multicultural society, when we've already had a New Year to start with? It's just an excuse for Callie to promote another Rare!
    C) Some people could say "Okay...why not celebrate Australia Day (Jan 26) which is almost exactly the same time as the CNY. Australia is even part of the British Empire. Was there a whisper, a mention, a competition? No. Don't stand up for HM when they say "Let's have a brilliant new outlook: a foreign idea!" when they can't first recognize the countries in it's own Empire, INCLUDING Ireland, Scotland and Wales National days, and Australia. China, and it's New Year, might be a celebration, and a large one, too. But not in the UK. It's as ridiculous as your family suddenly coming over 'for the Chinese New Year' and having a big party...do you see my point? It's a bit stupid. Just a mention on the homepage would be enough.
I am sorry if I have offended/made anyone angry, I truly am. I just wanted to express my opinion .

Do You Think Habbo Uk Celebrate Other Cultures More Rather Than Are Own ? It Seems That The Chinese New Year Has Been Celebrated More Than OUR OWN New Year.

You are one STUPID person, sorry, I have to say that. Just because Habbo UK celebrates other holidays doesn't means they don't favor "UK" Holidays. Did you knew Europe is known as Eurasia? Yes Asian people too live in UK, sorry that you didn't knew earlier... Seems your oblivious to everything in life. Oh yes, Habbo UK celebrates UK holidays, sorry that they don't "celebrate" too much to please you, but thats why you have a life outside of the computer. By the way... I'm an American and I know this..?

Because plenty of people in the UK celebrate Chinese New Year, it is a cultural event, like Christmas.

Because you are an ignorant person, with no thought about anybody else's cultural celebrations.

You wouldn't think that if you came to my school. Britain is VERY Multicultural.

That is because "UK New Year" is what we call the West's New Year, celebrated in the UK, France, USA, Canada, Australia, Ect.

    1. It does not matter if it is "Non-English Speaking," do you think they speak English in the middle-east, WHERE CHRISTMAS, EID, HANNUKAH CAME FROM, EH? You would consider that "English-Speaking. chinese New Year is a CULTURAL event, not like our NEW YEAR. There are CUSTOMS like giving people money.

Because Australia Day is a Australian national holiday. Would you like it if we celebrated Independance Day here? What about May-Day. Australia USED to be in the British Empire, you still think that we rule Australia? No, It is in what we call the 'Commonwealth' like Canada

The hotel manager has little say over these matters. IRELAND isn't in the UK. And YES WE DO recognise our own national days, ever heard of St. George's day?

No I don't see your point. My friend will be having all of his family round for Chinese New Year, and I'm sure thousands more will be too.

All they are doing is giving habbos more activities to do.

Also in britain there is a very Mixed Cultured population. And they do a lot of British stuff.

    All the fuss over xmas,
    The St georges day events
    And loads more.

Did anyone stop to think that staff might have a day off on New Year? They had the Hobba event during the afternoon of New Year's Eve, but don't you think they might have gone home after that? Or they may have done that event from home? Seriously though, some great points made in this thread, and some downright rude ones.

Are you trying to be racist. I don't celebrate Christmas, but I just follow the crowd just for the fun of it. I am chinese, I go to the UK hotel, and I celebrate CNY. Is that a problem? If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. Think before you speak.
