'Nuff said really. Plus there's the fact that ninjas can only rely on their stealth and one-hit assassinations, whereas it's impossible to kill a good pirate in one hit (far too manly and sturdy) so they'd just spin and take the ninja's teeth out with his cutlass. Pirates all the way.
