Now to your question of "Do I know what I'm talking about", yes;

Shading is the filling up which represents the effect of more or less darkness, expressing rotundity, projection, etc., in a picture or a drawing. I see none there.

The alt seems cool.
But I think you highlighted to much dude.
Get rid of the grey outlines and replace those whit black.
Also, it doesn't looks cushiony, btu I'd buy it.. if it came in other colors :p
