I believe that the reality of got is the belief of him.
You may say that god is real. so he is real to YOU.
You many not say he is real. so he is not real to YOU.

Confessional? yeah.Originally Posted by Craig
I'm pretty sure sins of what Bin Laden did are different to the sins that are asked for forgiveness. Anyways also different Christians interpret the Bible differently to other people. That's why you have different denominations such as Roman Catholic,Church of England etc. CoE don't beg for forgiveness and have them things with the 'father' where you go inside and speak to him.
It's just why are there so many paths to this ultimate being? Why can it be different for one person just because they worship in a different way?
I just can't put my faith into something there is no proof of even exsisting.
I disagree with your argument Drooped but it's your opinion so you stick to it if you want. If something bad happens God can't reach into the world and miraculously help someone. If there is such a thing as God he has left things be natural and can't stop suffering from anyone. Buddhists however believe that suffering is a result of Karma and if you give off bad Karma it will result in suffering.
Yeah I meant confessional I just couldn't remember the nameIt's different because people have interpretted the Bible in so many different ways. I know it's weird and hard to explain but people agree/disagree with some denominations more than other people so they are thankful for that denomination. I would believe your a Scientologist or w/e and I sometimes agree with their theories but it can be said about alot of things aswell not just God.

I don't really believe in Karma either.
For example, a woman could be pregnant with a baby who has already been diagnosed with a terminal illness. You could abort it, which according to christianity is murder (due to the sanctity of life) or put it through a life of misery and suffering. Either way it'll be bad.
The bible can only be interpretted in different ways as it was wrote by several different people. Their views contrast and contradict each other but why do they do this if they are writing about the same thing?

I used to believe something similar to that. I believed that it was made up and stuff the kinda Charles Darwin stuff.Originally Posted by Revis
Yes this may offend some people but what is the point of having opinions if we aren't allowed to express them? I ask that you keep a civil tongue and do not feel the need to be offensive or abusive towards people due to their beliefs.
Right, basically, what are your thoughts on Christianity?
I do not believe in a God but I believe Jesus did exsist as a person. I also believe that 'Hell' is a metaphor for the desert Jesus supposedly stayed.
Merh, i'll go into more detail if the debate isn't spammed and actually worthwhile.
Now Im a Muslim. Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet, a guy with gifts from God and the power of God but not the son of God.
I was an Atheiest for a long time although I was brought up as a Christian. Even though youre an Athiest I still respect you for making up your own mind.

I believe in Karma.
But, i've only started believeing in it after my name is earl, silly to alter your mind because of a fictional TV show but i just believe slightly in it. I don't believe i did anything to get the hurt i've had though, i think when you start believeing in karma then it'll start altering the affects so if i'm bad NOW i WILL get the affects sooner or later. I believe, i was an innocent child when I did get hurt. i was 10 when my parents split up and it's probably one of the most traumatic things in my life, the split up was BAD. i won't go trhough itand also when i lost all my grand parents within like 2 years, i was innocent then just a small child. i lost them before i was 13.
I think in some cases in Christianity if the baby is going to suffer or the mother will suffer I think they think it's fine to terminate the baby's life. But meh Religion as a whole is confusing just as cases that prove against Religion like Evolution theory.Originally Posted by Revis

The only inkling showing some truth to the bible is that the order in which God created the World is same to Evolution.Originally Posted by Craig
