Chinese sports have experienced their greatest period of development since reforms were initiated in 1978. During this period of macroeconomic reforms and the opening of the Chinese economy, Chinese sports at all levels have been granted a broader arena in which to display their full potential. During the past two decades, China has produced 1,113 champions who have broken world records some 750 times in such international competitions as the Olympic Games, world championships in a variety of sports, and world cup games.

    Well he just proved that.
It is only because you're bigger :s
You have more people, so more chance of better players [like in football], and more people means you're going to produce more good players, so smaller countries have to use less good ones because they don't have as many to choose from, whereas bigger places have more talented people, so can use the best of them :]

Probably because those countries are poorer so don't have as good facilities as England to train people etc

I think its a combination or the size of a country and how rich its economy is.
Because without money you cant fund a good football team.

Mm i see your point but what about brazil then?

Theyve won the world cup the most times, there easily the best football team in the world and they are poor comparing them to most.
