And if she hasnt commited suicide, thats a good thing, because suicide should be taken seriously, attention seeking or not, it could still be serious.

Of course suicide is a serious thing, and it needs to be taking seriously - do you think I'm stupid?

I'm not saying she's only doing it for attention so just ignore her, and as I clearly stated in my original post, suicide itself is a cry for attention therefore Vicks! needs to give her the attention she requires and find out the root of her problem and help her overcome it.

Sarah slits, she doesn't do it to kill herself, just to try to get rid of whatever feelings or memories are bringing her down. She may well say that she's suicidal, I believe that that's not entirely true but at that moment in time she needs something, and slits because she doesn't know any other way to cope. If it really works, more power to her for it, but it's dangerous and messy, and not the best way to sort things as I've said before.

About the attention seeking thing, I'd say it doesn't matter even if it is attention seeking, because people who do things like this for attention obviously need that attention and need help rather than criticism. I've always said that cutting is attention seeking on a subconscious level if nothing else, no matter what reasons the person has to offer. Sarah passionately disagrees with that but I feel it's true and therefore think that there will always be a way to stop cutting, if only the cutter can find what it is that they're missing from life.
