Being gay is not a choice, but there isn't a gene that decides your sexuality. You start getting a sense of sexuality when you hit puberty, it's caused by environment and other things as you grow up. If it was a gene then identical twins would both be the same sexuality.

No, but I tried to make it more straightforward, the Bible forbids it. Yes, if a straight person does it they will receive the same punishment. People just associate it with being gay though, regardless of the fact straight people do it, too.

Sodomy is a sin, whether a hetero or homo couple practise it; Romans (1:26) “even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature…”
