Any work that someone creates instantly becomes property of them..

But doesn't mean it's copyright. He could use it, he doesn't need permission. And anyway, the person who submitted it wanted people to copy his work. Right? :s

He couldn't get lawyers involved as he hasn't copyrighted his work, which makes it all legal to copy.
