Well, before I broke up for the 6 weeks holiday, I handed in my final essay into my teacher to check, and I came back the following day to ask if she has read it, and to see if she could return it to me so I could rewrite it in neat, and she says "Sorry I lost it, I'll look for it at home." So I felt really ticked off, and began to help her to find it in the classroom, since I passed it her the previous day and she placed it on her desk. We didn't find it, so today, after the 6 weeks holiday, I once again asked if she had found it, and she says no, you will have to do it again. I felt really angry inside, but I couldn't unleash it, since I would probably get excluded. It took me quite a while to do it, and I was very proud of doing my best on it, and being the first to complete it. What would you do in this situation?

Similar thing happend with me with my biology courswork, but my teacher was a little more ignorant about it, i gave my biology courswork 1 day late because i had just come back from holiday, and he lost it. He said it was my own fault for handing it in late . So now i have to redo it, best thing to do is to do it again. Unless it is found, i do not see how it can be resolved any other way.

Like many others have said type it up make more than one backup 1 on your computer 1 on a data stick or any other type of storage device and 2 printed copies 1 for your teacher and 1 for you to keep with you all the time until you know its all been marked ok some people think I'm extream when keeping backups
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

I used this excuse all the time, didn't do me any good as I ended up with no coursework and was told I'd have to revise like crazy for the exams to make up for it. Of course, I did no such thing and still passed easy

Not saying that this is an excuse by the way, just that I always told the teacher(s) that they'd lost my work.

It is not that weird of a thing

Teachers are normal people they might loose a paper once a year.

What are they going to do?

I dont know why you would hand write a 25 page paper?

If I was the teacher and lost the paper what would I do? I would ask the student to turn it in again by reprinting it. But if you did not do it on the computer... Hmm well maybe you can just talk to her and skip the paper so it doesnt effect your grade.

But remember your teacher probably has a life and doesnt just grade papers all the time. They loose stuff too. They probably just asked you if you could re do it because you might remember all of the key facts or have a copy at your house.
