First time the "boot off" happened, I assumed it was a server reset or server crash. Now, the second time this evening it's happened, I would also assume it is a server reset or server crash. It could be coincidential that we've had two server crashes; however it is my opinion that we had a reset or crash first, then it was discovered ad.habbohotel.co.uk was not working, so the server was refreshed/reset to rectify the problem. That's what I gather from reading these replies, anyway.

I'm also pretty sure all of the Habbo Hotel servers are located in Helsinki, Finland so they can have around the clock support from the techies, and a problem is easily rectifiable.

And RUDG3ii, that would not help, unfortunately. If you cannot access the homepage, it is highly possible that the server is down, and hence the client.action will not work.

Unless you know facts its best of not 'guessing' what it was, unless you have solid proof
NB: I made use of the word "assumed" and it's root derivative "assume" in my reply. As far as I see it, I never said I "knew" what happened. I had a logical guess at what happened - and is the most rational explanation I can think of.

They could have done anything, indeed... but in that short space of time? Nothing major. It is possible a small update was added, but I wouldn't be too sure. How are badges and other little things added to the Hotel? Okay, want me to now assume a new badge was added, Mr Safety X? (There is something in particular which some people might have picked up by my last sentence... If you didn't then guess. ) By the use of your smilies, I take it you have something you wish to share with the rest of us? If not, then we can keep speculating and guessing until our hearts are content. I made a guess at why the servers were down twice, and one or the other was right. Either the servers crashed (which wasn't supposed to happen), or they were reset. Note: If something was added, then the servers would still be down and reset.

Please though, I would appreciate it if you did not frown on people for speculating or coming up with rational explanations for why the Hotel could not be accessed. If the facts are not available, it is human nature to guess, and I don't care who tells me otherwise - I will still do it.

If guessing is indeed bad, it is another fault in human behaviour. All humans crave knowledge, and regardless of what you say, will guess. If "guessing" is bad, then clearly you are hypocritical, for I am sure you do a lot of guesswork on a daily basis - as does everyone else.

Heh, but the phrase "I'm pretty sure that.." says enough. ^_^

Edit: Apologies must be added for my previous post though. Some comments were a bit ambiguous, such as the "X" dig. It was more a dig at the rumour mill idea that spreads through forums - so apologies to anyone affected by that.
