The best way I could explain the VIP badge is just that - they are important people - during the time a VIP Habbo has the badge assigned to their account they are important to some aspect of the community. Does that make sense?
So, like, if a Habbo was helping with an official event they may get a VIP badge because they are important to the sucessful running of that event.

Sorry to bump this thread a bit, but i said about a Health and Safety course on Habbo, lead by the Habbo, "Greenhand" who had the VIP badge.
Guess what? I WAS RIGHT!
Search Greenhand on your console, and look at his mission:
"H&S coming your way!"
If my knowledge serves me correctly, H&S = Health & Safety, guess who just figured out the next Habbohotel event?
