This is good for a first attempt Soyers =) I do have some criticism though. I'll keep it simple for now, as your only just starting out with this sort of thing.

The first thing is depth. You've highlighted parts, but where ever there is light (or highlights) there are shadows, and you haven't really used shadow much, the best way to shade something like this is with a highlight, a midtone, and two shadows, but you haven't used any shadows. I did a very quick edit for you, to show you what I mean. I only edited the skin on this part.

The second thing is your lightsources, in some places they seem to be conflicting, the light source is coming from the top right? In a few places you seem to have highlights where there would be shadow, or a midtone. Always make sure you pick a light source and stick to it, and think about things like objects blocking light from others.

That's about it for now. Nice first try, and good to see your still roamin' around Habbox.

Good point but I beleive in this elvish land there is quite a bit of light from many sources. Or so I gather from the background.
This could explain few shadows and conflicitng light sources but still quite a good thing you picked up on.

The background is hills, and a horizon, lit by sunlight, there is only a single sun, therefore most likely only a single light source =P

No, I mean she'd think it was inappropriate lol

Anyway, I think the shading that Xero showed definetely looks better than all the same colour, now I look at the piece more closely, there isn't that much shading.

By the way, Xero, seeing as you're so good at alts, what's up with your avatar? (no offence meant)

Back when the forum had problems all the avatars got stuffed up, I've only recently returned to the forum, and haven't bother to change it yet.
