I don't see what's wrong with it really. Most people use it in the correct way.

I have a job so I don't need EMA. Well actually I have 3 jobs but they're all part-time![]()

12th 13th year? School? you've just confused me.They are just periodic £100 payments that are meant to encourage you to stay on through the entire course.
Year 12 - January
Year 12 - June
Year 13 - September
Year 13 - January
Year 13 - June
They are supposed to only be given if you are doing well and meeting the requirements of your course, but a lot of schools just give them out for you still being there.

Anybody read my comment about the siblings?
This is quite unfair when you look at it on the basis of siblings.
pm me for msypace and stuff yeh?

i Get EMA £30.00 Per Week If you go To a 6th Form Collage and pick the right courses you can get up to £100 a Week
Also you still quaifiy for it if you parnets are self employeed as there not on a fixed pay roll if it can change week in week out
I agree with what you say about siblings. Your parents combined income must be less than £30, 810 per year, no matter how many siblings you have. My parents earn just slightly over that threshold, so I won't be getting EMA in September when I go to sixth form, but since I have a sister, who eats through my parents money I think that they should set different thresholds depending on how many children your parents have.
