I hate stereotyping, it seems now everyone is either chav, emo, goth, greebo or townie.
Why should you be judged by what you wear? It stupid and pathetic, just because someone is an "emo" doesn't mean they slit their wrists etc
I'm not saying none of that stuff happens, because it does, but there is no need to label someone, on what other people do.
People should feel comfortable in what they wear and the music they listen to, without having to worry about what other people might say.

Well you should be judged because you often choose clothes to fit in with a particular style. I personally have the style of townie/'punk' and if I'm called either it doesn't bother me cos to be honest I choose the clothes so it's no-ones fault but mine, and seeing as I like the styles it is no problem atall And alot of "emos" are portrayed to slit their wrists, like chavs are portrayed to wear burberry caps high up, wether you like it or not stereotyping is always going to happen. I feel mighty comfortable wearing what I wear and even some of my friends call me this funny name because of the two styles I wear and I call them goth/chav back as a joke, it is fine and who cares what other people say, it's the style you want to wear so wear it and don't care if anyone calls you a name for it.
On the topic of music however I listen to all types of music - literally. So not always judged by what you wear on music you like.

    Owww but i like arguments

Well, people shouldn't hate Emos or what I consider 'The Dark Side' because they're just like everybody else.
The fact there refered to as emos and that people can tell the differnce between an emo and a non emo kinda proves they aint just like everyone else.

Really, everybody is the same - we just dress and act differently. But because this thread is about Emos, I'll discuss what makes them slightly different.
Is there some definition of same im not aware of? "we just dress and act differently" Where also subject to a massive array of physical variation also... so as opposed to same, where closer to unqiue in most ways "/

Firstly, the way they dress. So we dress in black and dark colours? Whoopdey doodah! Chavs dress in stuff such as a Lonsdale and wear those hats, so why can't we? Seriously, just because we like black, doesn't mean people have to bug us about it.

My point is the way we act. We're quiet, and sometimes prefer to be individual - why can't you understand this?
LMAO. Indervidals dont join steriotyppical socal groups, by definition, there orignal... Orignalty is somthing near everyone else isnt doing... emo is pretty much the oppersit of this "/

Perhaps we want some time alone to think about stuff, or just want some time away from our friends, would it hurt to let us do this?
And doing so doesnt make someone emo, an emo could do this, but so could anyone else...

And all this fussing about Emos slitting there wrists and stuff. We don't.
Well "Emos" DO. If you dont, thats becuse your not actualy an emo, your more a wanabe emo, just someone attempting (and failing) to forfill a steriotype and fit in with a socal group...
I know lots of my friends who aren't Emos, who cut themselves on purpose, mayybe not there wrists, but other parts of there body.
Cutting yourself doesnt nessarly make you an emo, its again a single trate common to the emo steriotype, you dont though nessarly have to be emo to do this... Just an idiot.
Anyway, if Emos cut themselves, it's because they're most likely annoyed with something/someone. People shouldn't be giving them unwanted attention because they do this, just let them get on with it.
People only create phyiscal scars if attention is there aim, whether uncionsly or concisoly, hence why most "poser emos" will go around paradeing them as much as the possibly can "/
The wrist slitting just means there STUPID. not that they must nessary be emo.
To correctlt fit the steriotype of emo, they would be requred to for the most part be middle class, attention seekers, whom tend to make very big deals out of what is realy nothing.
"Oh know my girlfiend dumped me WAA WAAA no one else in the world suffers as much as i do..."
While people who actualy have REAL bad things in there life, actualy just get on with it...

That basically concludes what I've written, but I hope this proves that Emos are like Chavs in a BIG way
Chavs are even worse than EMO's o.0

    - they both are different in the way the way they act ect, but are people, so shouldn't be judged because of there personalities.

    Thanks, Warren. =]]
What the **** else is there to judge a person by other than there personality ???

Exactly, you shouldnt care what other people think. Once you actually let it bother you, thats YOUR problem, not their's.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

Didnt you ever learn this guys?

Btw why classify your self as something? Its like saying to somone holding an orange, "Thats an orange." "AMG it is? Wow your like a genius!"

People are judged by clothes for the first impression, Then judged by Personality when they are known more.

    Its Human Nature.

Why is this whole fad become so big at the moment, everyone stereotyping everyone saying that they're this and that, who gives a damn about some trend.

I'm not emo, mosher, goth, chav i'm just a person who tries to avoid this fad of labelling.

Why does everyone have to have a label? People should be accepted for their own individuality and personality, never mind an Emo/Chav/Townie etc. The way people are stereotyped now is just pathetic to be honest.
