Wouldn't you rather invest it something which is more rewarding if you won the lottery =S. It'd be stupid to invest in a company such as Jagex, when you could invest in housing. Look at Robbie Fowler for example. If you don't know who he is, he's one of the richest footballers in business because he invested in houses, and rented them out.

If you win a very large amount on the lottery, you'd find that you could spend a fee like say, 1000 pounds a day, which would be put straight back in from interest (with large jackpots).

Also, shares with Jagex wouldn't be too bad, as they are sure to go up in value as the company grows.

Buying money is better than selling member pins.

Some sites you can pick up Mill's for 4 USD each, whereas a member pin costs 5 GBP and gets about 700k?
    Doubt everything, even this.

buying shares with JaGeX isn't a bad idea, as they're prospering as time goes on, it'd be a good investment for beginners.

What if the Gower brothers became bankrupt?
What if all of a sudden people stopped buying membership.

What is the likelihood of this?

Considering the numbers seem to be growing, rather than falling.

If other big internet games such as GuildWars keeps getting better who knows. Since the release of the first GW game came out it's popularity has increased greatly..
