Well really, a girlfriend / boyfriend can often be just a best friend with a little more er... romance?

if i was in that situation id talk to him, tell him that that you want to be with him, but you dont want him to change from the sweet best friend he was before? hopefully that will make you talk more and be best friends and still be girlfriend / boyfriend.

Often, you dont realise how much you love someone until they are gone, so this might be whats going on in this case?
