Right,
THAT IS NEWS. Because it is factual, hallway 1 and 2 are missing it is a fact because it isnt on the navigator."Hallways 1 and 2 are missing" (proof: Hallways 1 and 2 no longer on navigator)
THAT IS A RUMOUR. It is a rumour because it is not news released by Habbo Hotel LTD. They havent told us exactly why to enjoy the hallways, they havent said they will be leaving the navigator all they have said is to enjoy them and the rest has been assumed by a large group of people."Hallways 1 and 2 may go" (Proof: Screenie with Habbo Staff saying "Enjoy the hallways while you can"
The fact is that there is some sort of justification to back up a claim, it doesnt make it news as if it was news on Habbox and other fansites you would see.
"Hallways 1 and 2 are to leave the navigator"
But because its a rumour that has been justified by some sort of proof to back up the claim it would most likely be reported as:
"At 12pm today, Habbo Staff sent this screenie..... Could the hallways be leaving us forever?"
So in your definition, any statement made by an individual is technically a rumour?
So in the playground if someone called you "an idiot" then in that sense bystanders would not be wrong in saying "Rumour has it that blah blah is an idiot"
Plus I am sure that rumours also need to be something of a common belief so a one person statement such as "habbo x" saying "omgdz habbo iz closin" wouldnt count as a rumour as it is just one individuals opinion or statement.
