No defiantly not as we have Aaron Lennon
No defiantly not as we have Aaron Lennon
Do we? Do we ever play him when hes match fit?
No, because England is like 10 years behind every football team, most International teams have 2 fast wingers who are good at taking on players are crossing balls.
Take Man U for instance, they arent an Internatonal team, but with Ronaldo and Giggs on the wings, with good delievery etc they are a fantastic team, obviously with there midfield with Scholes.
We have that ability if we play Gerrard in the middle, drop Carrick because he isnt good internationally. Play Aaron Lennon on the right and Joe Cole on the left (When hes fit because Downing is absoloute garbage) and then play a decent Defensive Midfielder in with Gerrard so they can work together, Scholes would be brilliant if he came out of retirment.
Obviously Hargreaves when hes fit
Then the rest sorts itself out, the defense is good, although I would sooner have Sol Campbell than Rio Ferdinand, Ferdinand will make more mistakes I think and is too high rated.
Ashley Cole on the left because hes the best left back ive ever seen, Neville on the right because he can link up with the winger to push forward.
JT in the middle obviously with Sol Campbell.
Rooney upfront with either Owen, Defoe and Andy Johnson, Crouch is such an obvious player, long ball to knock down, every opponent knows that now. So we need two upfront players that can make the game work for them together.
GoalKeeper is a bit of a shake, Robinson isnt all what hes cracked up to be. I think David James has proved himself yet again for Portsmouth so he should be given another chance as Number 1 England Keeper.
Sack Macclaren, because if he doesnt realise all that stuff, then he is no more technically minded than myself.

David James FTW! i thnk you've just about summed up what i thinkDo we? Do we ever play him when hes match fit?

To sum it up;
No.
He's past his best - let him earn 80p a second in the USA I say.
I don't believe England need Beckham back, Theo Walcott can play on the right when Lennon is injured.
Playing Walcott on the right is totally stupid, basically hes a forward, what is the point in player players out of position when you can just find an alternative that is the best player for that position?
Its no good playing a player in the wrong position, its just stupid.

Walcott, started out as an attacking right winger.
He has developed to become a striker, and is now better placed upfront but he can still play on the right.
I believe he has not performed greatly because people expect so much from him being labeled "Englands next wonderkid" and not being played at all during the worldcup would have shot his confidence down alot.
I say give him a chance, I have seen him play some killer balls for Arsenal and make great runs at times.
We must remeber that he is only 17.
