It does make you lose weight but it will also make you weak, sick and more prone to virus's, cancer's flu's etc etc....there are many more affective ways of losing weight, no one should do that to their body, if you think you feel bad now you dont want to know what your in for if you starve yourself.

I'm not going to try and convince people not to starve themselves but bare this in mind whenever you do.

been there already, theirs a realy long lecture i posted bout it frm teenhelp.org few months ago. and tbh, most of it wos true when i tried it out. i didnt reach the state of bein underweight but if i carried on, probably wouldve... so, i wouldnt recommend it to anyone nor wud i encourage starving, ull just get hooked and when u wanna stop itll b too late in some cases & cud die or be put into hospital, nd even then, u cud die.

plus ur not meant to be just skin and bones, ur meant to have some fat on u.

    Totally agree.

It does lose weight but it doesn't lose fat. This is something that is mis-understood by many teens in the stage when their body is in the developing stages.

Your body goes into protection mode and burns the muscle tissue first. It does more harm than good. Starvation makes your body store fat and use essential nutrients from your body like your bone and teeth. The bad thing out of it all is that when you eventually do start to eat again, your metabolism will have been affected so whenever you eat food, your body will cling onto every calorie it's being given because of it's deprived state.

Fat is nothing you should be getting rid of. It keeps your body warm. Too much fat of course is bad but it shouldn't be considered a bad thing.

Whatever happened to a healthy diet and a bit of exercise!
