When using www.habbox.com and www.habboxforum.com you must follow the Habbo Way as well as our rules that we have to keep the main site and forum running as well as they do.
General Forum Rules:
A1. Respect other people's views and do not be rude or offensive to anyone - Everyone has different views on different topics, respect their views and never be rude or offensive to anybody else.
A2. Don't swear - It really is as simple as it sounds. The forum filter will substitute the letters of swear words with *-signs. However some words might not have been censored as of yet, and are not suitable on this forum. It is not allowed to try to avoid the swearing filter or to post any swearing that does not come up as ***. Also it is not allowed to use any abbreviations for words that are filtered on this forum, with an exception for LMAO, PMSL and other similar variations which are allowed, even though one of the letters in the word is filtered. Please note that ***** are variations similar to that are not allowed.
A3. Don't give out your email or ask for somebody else's, this includes messengers that use email such as MSN, YIM, Windows Messenger etc. - To protect people from getting hacked, it's strictly forbidden to tell your MSN or email or ask for somebody else's MSN or email, this includes in Private Messages. If you need to contact somebody send them a Personal Message. Only Habbox staff may advertise emails that are from a Habbox domain and are used for Habbox related things like job openings.
A4. Forum name may be anything at registration - You may register your forum name as anything as long as it doesn't contain swearing or anything else considered unacceptable to management.
A5. Do not post anything that can be considered as being rude or insulting to wards people working for Habbox - We don't allow any form of abuse, but are extra sensitive when it comes to abuse to wards Habbox Staff (this includes in reputation comments).
A6. Do not post your or anyone Else's photo anywhere on the forum - The reason for this is yours and others own safety as some people may start stalking you or bothering you in other ways.
A7. Don't impostor anybody from Habbo or Habbox - It is not allowed to pretend to be somebody that you are not, this includes VIP members using Habbox job titles or similar titles that make them look like Habbox staff.
A8. Do not pretend to work for Habbox when this is not the case - Don't suggest in any way that you are working for Habbox, not on this forum or on Habbo or anywhere else.
A9. Don't sell or buy Habbo accounts - Because the original owner can always get his old Habbo back with the original email entered when the Habbo was created, it is strictly forbidden to sell or buy Habbo accounts. Trading rares for credits is at your own risk.
A10. Don't ask for free furni, credits or anything else - This means it's also not allowed to ask for donations for giveaways. This is because we can't check if any donations are really used for giveaways and not kept.
A11. Do not name anybody for hacking, scripting, trashing or any other bad things - Because we don't want innocent people being accused of illegal activities, we don't allow accusing others at all. This means it's also NOT allowed to accuse Habbo-X or Habbo Staff of abusing their powers or anything else. Also posting any images of people is NOT proof of them doing anything wrong as it could be an alteration. Even if you do have proof and know its 100% real, it is still not allowed to mention that the person has scammed/hacked etc as this starts arguments.
A12. Do not post any (links to) texts, pictures or websites that contain information that is considered illegal by Habbo Hotel - This means you are not allowed to give any information about scripting, hacking or scamming. Also no screen shots of tools used by Habbo staff like Housekeeping are allowed. Even the mentioning of websites that have illegal content is not allowed, also when you are not meaning to advertise them! Anybody found doing so will be banned and may be reported to any relevant authorities.
A13. Do not advertise any websites that are Anti Habbox or have Anti Habbox content - This includes forums or any other websites that show anti Habbox content.
A14. Do not post anything offensive about other sites - This includes sites that have anti Habbox content. It is strictly forbidden to ask or talk about flooding, hacking or damaging any website in any way.
A15. Do not post private messages, staff threads/posts or quote private conversations or comments made with the User Reputation system - It is not allowed to show Private Messages without the senders permission either in a Post or in another Private Message. Also it is not allowed to quote anybody from a private conversation or a thread/post not viewable by the public, for example in a Private Message or in a private forum, without the author's permission. This means it is also not allowed to show comments made by others using the User Reputation system, for example in your signature.
A16. Do not put more than 30 characters in your Location for your profile - You are not allowed to have more than 30 characters in your Location in your profile so it doesn't create a scroll bar and make people annoyed.
A17. Do not have an avatar bigger than 100 x 90 Unless you are a VIP member - If your avatar is bigger than 100 (height) x 90 (width) and your a normal member then please reduce it to the correct size. VIPs and Forum Managers are allowed an avatar size of 150 (height) x 150 (width)
A18. Limit the size of the pictures in your signature - Forum members that are not VIP are allowed to have as many pictures as they want in their signature, as long as they are below each other, each picture is not wider than 700 pixels, and the total height of all pictures together is not more than 150 pixels.

A20. Do not have a usertitle which causes a scroll bar when you send a pm - If your usertitle causes a scroll bar when you send a pm to somebody then you must shorten it down or put < br> in the middle which will cause a line break.
A21. Do not give out any (personal) details about somebody else - It is not allowed to tell any details about somebody else, like somebody's age, location, or there name to another Habbo that somebody uses, or anything else, unless you have the person's permission.
A22. Don't ask for any personal information - It is not allowed to ask for MSN, email, phone number, location or any other personal information on the forum, this is for your own safety. It is allowed though to ask in which (part of a) country somebody lives.
A23. Don't give any information about how to get unbanned on Habbo - It is not allowed to give technical information that can be used to get unbanned on Habbo Hotel.
A24. Don't do anything that is considered illegal by Habbo Hotel or by the law - If you admit to doing or having done something that is not allowed by Habbo Hotel (against the "Habbo Way") or against the law, you risk getting banned from this forum. This includes hacking, scripting, or working together with hackers or scripters in any way.
A25. Don't post any information or links to information about updates or new features on Habbo Hotel that have not yet been officially introduced by Sulake - It is allowed to post about new features / updates on other hotels, but not about new things that have not been brought into the public by Sulake in any way. This is on Sulake's own request.
A26. It is only allowed to post a link to your own Myspace (or similar profiles) page when you are 14 years or older. - This is because Myspace requires that you are 14+.
A27. It is not allowed to talk about adult subjects like making love / sleeping with somebody or sexual details in anyway - Because this forum is meant for people of all ages, and teenagers in particular, it is NOT allowed to talk about subjects that could be not suitable for younger members.
A28. Do not make threads titles which have no relevance to the actual post - Do not make thread with titles like "see this" or "something interesting" or something similar to these. Put a title which is relevant to the thread and not something completely different.
A29. It is not allowed to encourage others to break the forum rules or to encourage others to do something that is considered illegal by Habbo Hotel in anyway - Don't advertise or recommend things that are not allowed.
A30. It is not allowed to advertise your Habbo Furniture for money - Don't advertise to sell or buy Habbo furniture for money, for example through PayPal.
A31. Anyone with a Habbo UK Account is allowed a name change - If you have a Habbo account, you have the right to make a new account that matches with Habbo UK name or have your forum account name changed to match your Habbo UK name. If somebody else already has a forum account with that name (even if its a VIP member), that person has to change it to something else so that the name becomes available for the person who owns the Habbo.
A32. Do not link to images, videos or Myspace profiles of other users with or without permission. - Posting videos, images or sites that contain information about another user is not allowed unless that user is a celebrity.
A33. Do not post or link to obscene or inappropriate websites, images or videos. - Posting (links to) videos, images or sites that contain anything obscene or inappropriate is not allowed. If you are linking to a website with swearing, you must say so in your post/thread.
A34. Do not post on the forum using a different language. - Posting in any language other than English is not allowed (this does not apply to coding languages in the web design forums). There are some exceptions such as "Merci", "Au revoir", "Bonjour", "Ciao" or any other well known basic words. This rule does not apply to the foreign languages forum nor VIP sub-forums.
A35. Do not post your specific address or organise meetings in real life. - Organising a mass meet up in real life is not allowed. It is also not allowed to give out your specific address (street name, flat number etc).
A36. Do not bully other forum members. - We will not tolerate any form of bullying on Habbox. This includes name calling and threats both on threads and via PM.
Personal Message Rules:
B1. Don't send Personal Messages to Habbox staff or Habbo X's that they haven't asked for - Do not ask for friend requests or anything else. If you need urgent help on Habbo Hotel use the call for help button and wait in your room.
B2. Do not use Personal Messages for advertising - It is very annoying to receive spam off people.
B3. Do not send abuse, threats or any other kind of bullying to anybody - We have the ability and the right to read any personal message sent on the forum but we will do this with care. By using our Personal Messaging system you give us the right to check your personal messages if we feel it's necessary. Depending on how serious we think the matter is we may report it to the relevant authorities.
Forum Thread Rules:
C1. Don't post for the sake of your post count - It's always nice to have a high post count, it may seem as though people will respect you more with a higher number beside your name, but it doesn't really mean anything on these forums. We respect each of you whether you have 1 post or 1000.
C2. Don't post short or meaningless messages - We don't want replies like "i dono" or "why" or "yeah". We have set the forum so that any message must contain at least 9 characters, do not try to get around this by adding meaningless characters.
C3. Don't post messages containing more than 15 smileys - This causes a lot of lag and is annoying for people with a slower internet connection.
C4. Double Posting - Double posting is allowed after the 15 minutes have passed if you are adding new information. Other wise it is not allowed to double post.
C5. Don't post any (links to) obscene or offending alterations - This includes gory alterations or pictures containing a lot of blood, and also holds for avatars and signatures, the main reason for this is due to the varied age range of Habbox members.
C6. Do NOT comment on others breaking the Forum rules - Only Administrators and Moderators are allowed to deal with posts breaking the forum rules and only by editing the post in question. Do not post a message in which you tell another forum member they have broken the forum rules. Don't post a message in which you ask for another forum member to get banned or unbanned. If you think there has been a rule broken, click on the "Report Bad Post" icon at the top right of that post and explain the problem. If your problem is not about one particular post, you can also PM (private message) a Super Moderator with a brief description and some details of the problem (add a link if possible) then he/she will look into it.
C7. Do not abuse the "Report Bad Post" button - Anybody who abuses this option on posts with which nothing is wrong might get in trouble.
C8. Do not ignore a Forum Moderator's warning - It is important that you take any warning seriously that a Forum Moderator or Administrator sends you by Personal Message.
C9. When in the Competition Forum only post competition entries - Do not post questions or comments it is not the place to do so.
C10. When posting in the news and rumours forum do not post things that you know are not true - This includes posting fake screen shots and your own made up stories.
C11. Do not post any advertisements for anything illegal or what would be considered inappropriate for anybody from 11 years old up wards - Habbo Hotel is aimed at people aged 11 years old or over so we do not want anything to offend anybody in anyway.
C12. Do NOT give pointless reputation - There are many reasons to give good reputation points. The post may have helped you, had been well written or be a very good reply. Giving rep points to others just because its a friend or negative reputation points just because you don't like somebody will not be tolerated. Giving bad reputation points when not called for or without a reason is also not tolerated. Anybody caught doing this may get a big reduction to their rep points or worse!
C13. Do not ask for reputations points directly or indirectly - Do not make a post or a thread or send a pm asking for someone to give you reputation points. This also holds for your signature.
C14. Do not run competitions in any of the forums - Habbox is not responsible for handing over prizes for competitions run my members. We offer all Forum members the opportunity to have their own competition in the Competitions Forum. If you are interested in this please contact a Competitions Staff member.
C15. Do not make pointless posts - It is not allowed to post any messages that others consider to be meaningless or pointless or not relevant to the discussion.
C16. Don't ask for forum members to be unbanned - It is not allowed to comment on the work of Moderators publicly on the forum. If you have a problem or comment about something, please use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the forum.
C17. Do not bump threads - It is not allowed to bump up a thread. Simply wait for someone to reply instead. If the thread is old, make a new thread instead.
C18. Do not make off topic posts - Off topic and random posts are not allowed. Your post must be related to a post made earlier in the thread or about the thread itself.
C19. Post in the correct forum - Make sure that the subject of your thread matches the subject of the forum that you are posting in.
C20. No borat's - Make sure you do not use any Borat information, sentences as it can be offensive to other users.
