Who doesn't? I talk to my dog saying scary things like "Who's a lovely tub of fat? You are, yes you!" as if I was talking to a fat baby. That was to my dog by the way

All the time to my cats. I always go "Hello my fat black cat sitting on a mat!" and I say "Hi smelly welly!!!" and "Hey Millie, you stink like hell." I know it isn't nice but it is amusing. I also say "Hi puss-in-boots, did you know you are very fat and ugly?" I am so kind aren't I? It is just a habit of mine. And then in a reply my cats give me a huge cold stare.
