I think Britain would win. It sounds odd but think about it;

- How much smarter Britain as a country is.
- How many enemies America has made of the years and England has fairly good relations with (Russia, some parts of China and Korea)
- We have the rest of the EU with us.

Britain. If America were dumb enough to declare war on allies (granted, they have shot, blasted and missiled allies before in wars, because they do not know what a UN flag looks like), there is no doubt that countries in the EU, particularly France, would try to come to some agreement. If America are too death hungry and do go to war, then they will surely lose. America is a big country, but Europes intelligence and large amount of countries, incl. Russia, would deffinately hold back and possibly wipe out the person/persons who came up with this strange and irrational idea.

But you fail to see that Britain is allied with Europe with the EU? They would go to war to preserve the peace, which this made up War Hungry America seems to not like? Even if Britain was blown to bits, if other countries stopped America, then Britiain will still have won because they were apart of that war. Then you have to remember that a large number of the US has residents with some British, French, Russian, Scottish, Italian, Spanish background so a civil war would be possible.
