You can't tell me to think about what I write before posting because you couldn't even use the correct you're earlier. Linkin Park are classed as great musicians and a great band, they don't consider them legends; a band/artist that has brought so much the music industry and influenced so many other bands or changed music. They have not done that. However I am not knocking Linkin Park's talent, as they are very talented and a great band.
No i'm not being niave, nor acting like a child. I never once said the preference of a band makes them a legend, neither did I once think that. You obviously think you can read my mind, so if you can, post what I am really thinking next time.

Oh, and I can tell you to think what you write before posting. How pathetic must someone be to give an example of when someone made a small grammar mistake? Seriously. Linkin Park has changed and influenced the music industry in ways more than most people think. It has been commented on often by many big brands of music. They used rap and rock at the same time, bringing two completely differant genres together. Along with inspiring many others to do the same.

In all fairness, Rage Against The Machine was the first band to bring rap and rock together into the mainstream, and they were copied by other bands before Linkin Park came around

Yes you are being naive like a child, again you fail to spell correctly so you are in no position whatsoever to tell me to think before I post. Brainless child. Sure Linkin Park has influenced bands but not as a high standard as most actual music legends.

They were not the first band to do this though, so therefore they were influenced by others to do this. Go back, say 10 years or so and think of Aerosmith & Run DMC. So technically Linkin Park haven't done anything different that Aerosmith & Run DMC did.

And yet again, you comment on something so pathetic as someones spelling/grammar. No I am not being naive like a child, your just being ignorant yet again. As for calling me a 'Brainless Child', I fail to see how I am brainless? Tell me how. Thanks.

As that may be true, there was a large period in between these two bands where no one used rap and rock much. Linkin Park have come back again, being modern. Also Linkin Park is more listened to in this age, and they are listened to by all types of people who tag themselves.

Brainless - lacking a brain. Detecting sarcasm really isn't your strong point. Anyway, I'd back down if I were you - you're fighting a losing battle. Sure there was a large period between when Run DMC & Aerosmith did it and when Linkin Park did it. However, Rage Against The Machine were around before Linkin Park (and as RS stated) brought it to the mainstream. System of a Down also have that element of rap-rock. Plenty of artists/bands have done it in between the time of Run Dmc & Aerosmith up until Linkin Park.

I see this as being another stupid comment from you. 100s of artists/bands are listened by all types of people who tag themselves as you put it. How does this make them different from any other band? Arctic Monkeys are listened to all types of people who tag themselves. Gym Class Heroes listen to all types of people who tag themselves.

Being ignorant again? I never said I didn't know what brainless meant. I said how am I? Can't you read? And why would I back down? Its an argument that needs another side to it. Without LP it wouldn't be as strong as it is now, don't say it would be the same, because it wouldn't as for the fact that millions of people watch LPs videos and listen to their songs everyday.

Your area is so obviously differant then.

In my area or at my school, people act very strongly on what they like to listen to. The chavs listen to LP, but defiantly not bands like Arctic Monkeys and things. And people like me, would never in a thousand years even think about listening to a band like Gym Class Heroes.

I am basically just taking the **** out of you, because you are wrong and won't back down. Disgusting. Millions of people watch videos and songs of other bands, LP aren't the only band. See, you are using your music preference. Millions of people listen to bands like Kaiser Cheifs or Paramore(eurgh) everyday but that does not make them legends. Stupid little child.

Yeah this is based on preference. But that does not mean everyone listens to LP. Hell pretty much everyone likes bands such as Oasis, Feeder, Arctic Monkeys and The Fratellis. It appeals to people of different scenes/styles. LP do it and so do those bands I've listed, that doesn't mean that LP are legends though. Over the Uk, chavs I know listen to Oasis/Fratellis, emos I know of even like Arctic Monkeys. Hell, it appeals to everyone but that doesn't make them legends.

Okay, what i'm going to do is close this thread. Its getting boring and the argument won't stop. So i'm going to be the clever one and stop it myself, because obviously once that guy above starts, he either doesn't have the brainpower to stop, or is just extremely ignorant. I'm going for both tbh.

I can tell how stressed your getting over this topic, DJ, so I will leave it at this answer. In my eyes, and in many other countrys like France and Spain, Linkin Park are seens as Legends. Not massive legends, but a legend in some ways, all the same. Sorted.
