Usually they go asking for my parents, so I go:

• How are you related to them?

etc. till they hang up.

I usually just say that we're on a fixed term contract and unable to switch for 12 months then that company won't call again for over a year.

if its people offering to buy a phone i just chat crap for about ages about the phone and then go "im just going to ask my mum" "oh wait shes just bought me a new one soz" *hang up*

I know it's not the best think to say but I normally say that the person in question has died. They never call back again. Apart from the '3' mobile company, we got at least three phone calls a day for two weeks. We werent to happy with them. This one time, I was on the phone to the guy for like 20 minutes of him telling me crap about this phone and that I could get it free, with 6 months free line rental. He started asking for my address and stuff so I gave him a fake one. The very last question he asked me after 20 minutes of him going on and on about this phone was "How old are you?". When I said I was only 17 you should have heard how annoyed he was. Good times...

First of all these calls are not all bad. I work in Market Research for Tesco. When we are calling it it can be short or long surveys vairying from Make-up to Alcohol. Right now I'm doing a survey about Tescos advertisment. It can be harsh somtimes when people hang up. But I'm getting paid £5.60 an hour for it so it's no loss to me. Somtimes I actually enjoy my work some of the surveys are intresting. So don't always hang up on us, just hang up on them dodge sales people thats the way to go ;] actualy no don't! haha just remeber my 3 months at a place called Space kitchens! just be nice and polite. Sure its nasty of these people to call you up but there only doing there job AYE.

when you get questions like how is your phone service you can answer saying "well it keeps cutting out every so often like this" then hang up. I normally get angry with them, but they dont take me seriously as I have a high voice lmao.
