Can the PS3 play PS1 games and all the PS2 games without a chip, no.
Can the PS3 play retro games such as Zelda and Mario, no.
Nintendo has more decent exclusive titles.
Multi-Platform is a load of crap, It's just to show I'm rich. Purpleness I could get a PS3 and 360 if I wanted but I havent better things to spend my life on than Video Games, Last week I got an iBook for nothing, My mom bought it for me because I got triple 7's in my SAT's.
Your not multi-platform yet and I could beat you to getting all 3, All I have to do is go to the bank take out £800 and viola.
Multi-platform is crap, Play with what you like, you'll get fed up with the PS3 and chuck it in the corner.

There is no need to boast you're rich

And don't bother dissing the PS3, all the wii games are repetive (minus COD3, but that's just a port) major companies won't bother aiming for the wii because they know it hasn't got that type of market.
The PS3 (i hate to say it) and the XBOX360 are for the real gamers. And yes the PS3 can play all previous playstation games, with a few glitches, but that will be fixed with downloadable patches.
