on that tut, i don't have the second option in the drop down list when u click recording, is there anyway i can get it?

You'll have some sort of input.

As long as you can find input, you'll be able to use stereo mix [hopefully].

Just make sure "Stereo Mix" is highlighted in the box below with a tick.
