Usually you get attacked by rock golems as well, I think
And if you're mining on a heating rock for too long, it'll explode, causing you to destroy your pickaxe, but if you find the head of the pickaxe, you can fix it back together ;D

Dude get mining to 60 go to mining guild, full of coal and some mith ores, only like 5 people in it max and mine coal. Then sell it for 100-150gp per one. ;D Easy, I got over 100k in one day.

I prefer the coal trucks in the member's world, at the right time on a quiet server you can get like 2 people between 20odd coal rocks =] and you can fill the trucks up to 125 ores so you don't need to bank as often. Mining Bliss.
