Neither won, neither lost. You guys should really watch the anime again, I feel I'm the only one who truly understands it.

Light was Kira for like 6 years, he killed thousands of people and managed to kill L. It's also said (in the manga I think), that they won't announce Kira's death to anyone, because it will be better that way. So Kira will still have supporters even after his death. So in a way, Light won.

BUT...

L had two successor's that finished off the case for him when he died, and they confirmed that Light was Kira. Which L had basically already found out anyway. So in a way, L won.

Also, they're brining out two new manga volumes. One that explains things in more detail and inculdes some secrets and things, like L's real name and another that shows L's rise to power.

Geez, you people... We were doing archetypes today in media. Do you really think that Light was the 'good guy'? Light had good intentions, so yes, he could very well be. But you're forgetting the other 'good guy', L. Neither was really in the wrong.

L's real name is L Lawleit or something, It was in the Manga Volumes which was covered in the first two live action movies.
The new volume will most likely be covered in this new L movie.

I'm not really sure and i don't think the new volumes are out yet in the UK. i buy my manga from amazon so yeah and the only place I've seen manga irl was in borders (which they dont really have that many and doubt they have death note as I checked before and they didn't) and the london expo (it's like a convention for like TV shows, anime/manga etc.)

Mikami Should not be able to see "Near's" name since Near has the notebook.

WEAK ENDING Light was really smart for 36 episodes then got REALLY dumb. He should have wrote down the names before he got there and found out Near's name then when everyone else died. He didn't even deny it or try to outsmart them. This anime ending isn't very well respected for many reasons.

Death Note is a masterpiece I can't believe it's over, I mean it's the only anime that I truly like because it makes sense it's exciting and is very smart, but now it's over, I hope, I beg, I wish there was a sequel for this wonderful anime.

I was watching the ending on YT again and someone said

At the end I was just pee'd too because I'd much rather have Light lose to L then Mello and Near, L did the majority of the work and was about to catch Light though Rem got to him first, I just think the ending was a disaster.
