This infraction was flagged up some time ago to be looked into, and will be once the new year celebrations end.

    lol I own Google

anyway yeah I'm not a massive fan of this rule, it makes sense that you shouldn't be allowed to go around slandering people or naming scammers or whatever so I agree that it's needed, but not that long ago I got an infraction for calling Harry a liar about something when we were joking around. I didn't mind as 1 point isn't going to kill me but it did concern me that the background of the conversation wasn't looked into or anything

I think there should be a rule that if a Moderator/Super Moderator gives out too many pointless infractions circuling around not reading the whole conversation, they should be fired, or given warnings then fired. Because this forum was for fun and discussions which you could talk freely about without worrying about some silly moderator giving a silly warning that makes no sense in context. Now it just seems you can't have a sense of humour or talk to friends in a calm, relaxed environment.

Its impossible to do that if your GM lacks common sense and closes any threads which say something bad about him. I made this exact thread and he closed it with the reason "Please report infraction problems here: insertlinkhere"
Does this guy even read the threads or just love closing every thread possible? Habboxforum has gone downhill since he became admin. The guy comes up with the stupidest excuses and rules.

I agree to some extent. But loads of the SMs seem to like closing threads and warning people with no reason.

mad has plenty of common sense, probably even more than you
he closes threads which do not need a discussion
he reads the threads then makes an informed decision
the rules have been there for ages and im sure the rules are discussed by management as a whole before any are put in place. you just need to actually rresearch a bit before making outrageous comments and being rude about people

Half the rules have been changed since he took over. I am not sure if you were a member here a year ago, if you were you would know it was much better back then.

He closes threads which are in the centre of a discussion which has alot to do with the way the forum is run and at the moment, it seems loads of people are concerned about it and discussing what MAD and loads of others should do to make it better.
He doesn't read the threads very well if he closes them mid-discussion. He doesn't even give a good reason or say what he thinks and whether or not the ideas will be taken on board and used, other than when he thinks so, not what a majority of others think so "/
The rules have been heavily edited for the worse and who cares if they are discussed by management? Some of them don't even make sense! Anymore new and barmy rules should be discussed in the furutre, to see what people with some thought think (not the idiots will will agree and disgree without thinking about both sides).
Research has been done, look at the threads in this forum. This forum is dreadful compared to what people want or what it used to be.

To be fair, most of the threads closed "in mid discussion" are in reality having the same points repeated over and over again, or have gone offotopic completely and turned into a casual conversation between 2 or 3 members about the possible mating habits of a T-rex or something absurd like that. However, most of these threads do begin with a valid point and I feel most of these are largely ignored, something which needs to be worked on
