Heck 99 cooking can pull some fitties.

I've loll'd at all the stuff said, including the "99 Cooking comment", but really your mate may have found that funny too. =P I don't mean to be disrespectful, but funerals are for remembering people for their good sides, not the fact they're dead and gone. That's where people get upset. The last funeral I went to, I almost cried in laughter because it was so funny and it was for my nan, who was quite literally the funniest person ever. I miss her, but you have the good memories.

Go to the funeral, really, it's what he'd want and if its what she wants to, go do it. I'm sure if he was your good mate he would only have the best interests for the people he would leave behind. ;]

There was a young lad stabbed here in Leicester on New Years day, (i'm certain you've heard). He was the kinda lad EVERYONE knew. I didn't know him personally but my brother and his gf knew him really well, it has left the whole community devastated.

I live near a rough area and it is surprising how people can pull together in a time of sadness.
