The P word for Pakistani is considered worldwide to be an offensive term
and is used in a derogatory fashion. The word Scot, Brit, Aussie etc are just shortened words for the place they live and are not considered worldwide to be derogatory. Thats my understanding, anyway.

I suggest you google both words and see what comes up.

Technically, they could be defined as subspecies, but not a different race i don't think?

Edit: Some definitions - subspecies: (biology) a taxonomic group that is a division of a species; usually arises as a consequence of geographical isolation within a species

Well on the terms of race, people in Scotland could be any race? People from Scotland as a group would be called Scottish. Just like a group of people from Britain are British, people from Ireland are Irish etc.
