hi, the grammys mean absolutely nothing. the guys who did the song "afternoon delight" won a grammy. that makes the whole thing obsolete. the judges for the grammys are out of touch old men who have no sense of innovation. its just a gathering of the record companies saying "HEY WE'RE SO AWESOME." thats it. it's all self promotion. in fact, a new artist getting a grammy is considered a kiss of death, as many of them go on to never have a hit again.

oh, and i dont like paramore, but you guys are idiots for saying "oh i dont like them anymore because they're popular" (overrated is the same thing).

I like them, I caught on to them just as they released Riot! and decided to see what was going on. I think it's great when a band gets the mainsteam success they deserve, however, as long as they aren't overplayed. Songs such as "Hey There Deliah" by Plain White Ts and "Rockstar" by Nickelback to name recent ones have been totally destroyed by mainsteam. Hopefully Misery Business won't meet the same fate.

And for the record, I would like to state I think Hayley is hot.

i love how you put quotes around connecticut as if it's an imaginary place. i'm not denying that its the biggest awards show, i'm saying its FLAWED. i didnt say "oh no one watches it anyway" which is what you implied i said. the only thing the grammys are good for are the performances-- that's it. the awards are indeed meaningless. it's run by the music industry for the music industry.
