I think maybe you are over using the nav bg when hovered over, ive seen it on a few of your designs now, maybe try something else there, otherwise very good

thanks for the feedback ini. The nav above was first used on a layout I wasnt planning on using and looks better on this. The pin stripe background the banner also fits this
much better. I'm not sure what you mean when you say on hover. Please explain more on hover only the text colour would change

I'll try other nav styles in future after developing and coding this

The identity isnt a brush, its just the symbol for pie (maths)

If you just remove the content boxes completely and use a large, bold colourful text heading (Impact, for example), it would look better. (with a dashed seperator from title and content).

Also, the banner, the navigation has been ruined with the 'flame effect' I'm afraid! It would look better without that, just tabs and a header similar to that on Bebo. (bebo.com)

thanks for the C+C. I may use the content idea for the news pages and i wil see what it looks like on the front page howvever i would need somewhere to put the latest designs.

As for the nav, i have tried all sorts but this has turned out the best.
