To show the difference here's a picture of my work space before converting to my Macs. 3 monitors, two cpus, chunky wireless keyboard, chunky wireless mouse, web cam, speaker. The fact that the iMac has a massive screen means I no longer need 3 monitors to give me the same amount of vision. Also even thought the mouse and keyboard were wireless I still needed a charger for the mouse and the sensor for the keyboard was a USB wired which sat on the desk. Then the webcam had to sit on my desk however on the iMac it's built in. Then the two speakers (originally a surround sound system) have to sit on the desk, however with iMac also built in. I no longer have to have my PS3 sat on my desk either, as I had to use my middle monitor as my TV. Now it's been moved onto my chest of drawers so the PS3 can too. So as you can imagine the amount of cabling I had before was massive, however now all I have is;
Power Cable for iMac, usb for mouse, usb for keyboard, power and usb for external hard drive and my clock...
After looking at this picture for a while, I have no idea how I coped with all the crap :S
