Theres not really anything you can do to lower it, the more years no claims, the cheaper it will get, but as your only provisional, I doubt you have more than 1

merhhh it will go down slowly (Y)
Surprisingly, my insurance was lower when I had the 745i. It was a V8 and an overall better car. The reason it was lower was because it had a flood salvage title. If you get a car with a salvage title the insurance is way lower!
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

I dont know why, but everyone I speak to including all of my mates, pay cheaper car insurance than I do, I only have a 1.0 Peugeot 106 and I'm paying £220 a month, working out £2000 a year, I am 17.. 18 in 3 weeks.. and I started driving when I was 17 but I dont see how everyone managed to get cheaper than I did? I shopped around for agess aswel.

It has a 1.4 engine or whatever lol. (im not very carsy )

I don't really have a choice though as its my parents car I'll be using, and like I say other cars such as renault clio also seem to be similair price.
My Car is a 1.4 engine and was orignally £3000 then I did pass plus and it got knocked down to £1500 and now I've done 9 months got another quote and it's knocked down to £800 so yay me lol
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

I assume you're on your own policy, you should go on your parents! I got quoted £660 provisional for my 1.9 Diesel.

Is this with just you on the policy? Or, for example, a parent as the main driver?

yeah that's me as a named driver on my dads policy, it's cheap, but pretty crap, i get some no claims still but can only use them with direct line and it'd still be pretty expensive if i went on my own. But i can't afford it right now whereas later i will have more money!
