    @Reconix;

    The profile design has been made as simply as possible so it can be edited to any extremes. I will admit it would be nice if we could go wild and make it look amazing but it would cause a lot of issues with advanced editing. This way all they basically have to do is border: 0px; in the <li>'s CSS then they have a blank page to do whatever they want with. Which is pretty handy if you want to radically change your design.

    No its just PHP. I use a similar templating system that uses {VARIABLE}.

    And yes it is really easy to skin and change bits. It also means I can protect my code yet people can still change how the frontend looks just by editing a .tpl file
