Well I was replying to a post, and I replied and then when I came back I saw someone posted before I posted my message so I just replied after my other post as I couldn't edit. I did receive a infraction though.

I'm not complaining about it, im just stating that I didn't really "Mean" to but I did receive a infraction.

The other solution is to have editing open for longer than 15 minutes.

It's not my place to comment on infractions so I'll leave it to a super moderator.

Concerning the editing time, to have it open longer than fifteen minutes would mean that people could rule break, other members could see it and by the time a moderator got to it the offender could have already removed it and therefore no action can be taken. Also, why does anyone need more than fifteen minutes to change their posts? I believe the editing time is in place so you can correct little mistakes and like I said, that doesn't take longer than fifteen minutes. I'm pretty sure there will be more reasons but none that I can think of.

I suggest that, in future, if you accidental double post, you edit one of the posts and put something along the lines of, "EDIT: Accidental double post". That's what I do.

I dont want comments on the infraction, im not bothered and I can see where your coming from about rule breaking what about a system incorporated into the forum that detects if your going to double post and warns you or doesn't allow you to continue?

That actually exists, although I've only ever come across it a few times. If you've hit the "OK" button too many times it says "This post is identical to the one you have just posted" and doesn't post it, but aparently it only comes into action intermittently

Yeah I experienced that when Habbox wasn't loading I kept pressing Ok every minute to load, and it posted it a few times but if It checks before it posts your second post with like a confirm box via like Javascript "Ok - Cancel". Then there is no excuse for double posting, unless within the terms of the rules.

If you post identical posts, for example if the exact text of this post was in a second post of mine below, moderators are trained to know that's accidental and not infract or warn for it. If you do get warned for that, report it and we'll have the proof.

Sometimes when Habbox is lagging the "this is a duplicate of a message you have posted in the last 5 minutes, you are now being redirected to that thread" thing doesn't show, and you post it twice, but Moderators know not to infract for that, and if they mess up because they don't know or are new, just appeal it and it'll get sorted out

One reason why deletion is also unfeasible is, as said before we don't allow deletion, it would get rid of proof, and it would also mean giving moderation powers to every member

I was thinking about this, but why not merge them wouldn't it work more efficently without any complaints.
