Okay, well I have to go in a minute. If it still doesn't work have a look at internet options under privacy and security and see if the settings are too high and maybe blocking the sites. Otherwise you may need to speak to your ISP to make sure your settings are up to date and correct. They may have updated something in the last few days.

Some sites may be denied access.
Try accessing them via IE > Tools > Internet Options

However, the only other thing I can recommend is uninstalling IE & FireFoz and re-installing.

    Good luck

Disabling firewall didn't help, and sadly, there was nothing in the internet options.

Also, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling- still no change.

    Any more ideas?!

    Thanks

Okay do me a favour - click Start->Run open up "cmd" (without quotes).

type "ping google.co.uk" (without quotes) and press enter.

Tell me if that works okay - if you get a message like:
"Ping request could not find host google.co.uk. Please check the name and try again." then its a DNS problem,

If it pings but says timed out, then its a router / ISP problem,

If it pings fine, then the problem is local.

    So, what does that mean?
And what can I do to solve it?

    Thanks!

I tell everyone this that ever reports networking problems, run symnrt - will remove traces of norton internet security - reason being is that most computers (other then self-built) generally come with it pre-installed. You can grab it from http://www.symantec.com/symnrt - You'd be suprised how many computers I've fixed that had a "norton" issue even though it wasnt actively installed...
