Most people young and old seem to have a far lower degree of politeness and manners than myself, I have discovered after working at a supermarket since 2006 on the checkouts. It really bugs me. Also, the majority of the population insists on buying ready meals, and the ones who buy fresh produce are a lot nicer.

may i ask why? because i really, really, really disagree.

and i hate it when people say "these days" when they aren't old at all. you don't know past generations. you don't qualify. only old people can say that kids are rude these days because they've seen past generations.

i dont think kids are any ruder today than they were 20 years ago. the media pushed kids who grew up in the 80's to be completely self-centered.

yeah, i work at a coffee shop, and i've learned a few things about people. some people have no understanding past their needs. we're out of boston cream donuts, it's 3 in the afternoon, get up earlier and maybe you can get one. donuts are for breakfast. for some reason a lot of people just can't get their head around that.

and i've learned some stereotypes: the longer the beard on a man, the more likely he is to be a huge jerk.

Same! I remember when i started Secondary school in like 2000 i was soo scared of the 6th form. But then when i was in 6th form all the little soids from the years below started to get cocky with us...
How Naïve of them :rolleyes: soon sorted them out though

I think OAPs are rude, but it's more because they think they know everything and are in a position to do so. Kids are just rude because they like to look big. But I don't like when people use the excuse that teenagers shoot each other because they have nothing to do, then build some colourful parks which just get burned down.
