Anyone can sign up to that and post. It is not a scientist-only forum, merely a place for people to discuss science.

People should learn not to beleive every conspiracy theory they hear because they understand little about the subject.

Sam, you can't support something that says not to believe things in the media, when it's coming from a forum that anyone can sign up to. It's a hypocritical contradiction of sources.

You could say that for 95% of the internet.

Yes that's correct, as I said that global warming is a natural process and is not greatly influenced by man if at all.

Global warming is not a global warming theory. It is proven. The end.
I have seen no such proof. Proof does not count for "I saw it on the news" "My teacher said so" "I read it in a book".

Well what the hell? That's not even in context and you're contradicting yourself.

Agreed, the only "facts" you can get is from biased propaganda.

Although, I'm sure Mr Gore, a politician, master of spin and influencing people's opinions, is right and not giving a(n) one sided arguement.

A theory is based on empirical evidence. Gravity is a theory.

Ice has a melting curve. It starts melting slowly then speeds up, seen as we are just coming out of an ice age, we still have the poles. After the last ice age, the poles melted and things start again. It's all a big cycle. However, I do believe pumping CO2 into the atmosphere cant possibly help.

The media is immensely influental. 1 scientist tells a news paper a theory, other scientists agree, soon the tabloids print stories like "WORLD TO END IN 2020" and all hell breaks loose. There are protests to get the government to act on a wack-job theory and so as to not lose votes, they build a defence system for a comet that misses by many-a-mile. Point is, that just shows how the media can affect EVERYTHING in your life.

The problem is in Siberia there is a alot of methane gas trapped under the ice and in permafrost, methane is alot more reactive than CO2 and the situation is if the methane is released into the air due to current global warmth it could cause a chain reaction
