I've levelled a priest to 50.. I was holy all the way because I wanted to just be a pure healer. I must admit at lower levels you dont really need to heal yourself - So in that sense shadow is better. But around like 20+, I had to heal myself on every mob.. but not enough to waste any mana. I only had to drink after (at least) every 15/20 mobs.

I find farming primals is easy as a resto shaman, and not too boring.
