Plus my XP PC crashed loads more times than this Vista PC, and this PC only crashed when I forgot to plug everything back in properly

Linux is just generally a better OS than both of them
I have to opposite problem :S lol my XP never crashes but my Vista always does haha...

Vista is infact better than XP, physically Security wise, and also Memory Management wise.
Yea my laptop (Vista) just sucks hardwarewise compared to my Desktop(XP) lol

I mean as in will work on old hardware, new hardware, a wide range of hardware, for example, XP on my old computer runs like a dog, but Ubuntu runs beautifully, much like OSX Leopard, it will still work on the crappiest of Macs.

Actually dan linux supports alot of hardware but you have to configure it yourself, unlike on windows where it does it automatically for you.

Windows 7 is intended to be everything Vista was meant to be. Its going to be built on the same kernel as vista and require the same hardware specs to run it, but it's meant to be faster etc..
