If you're looking at a server I'd look in this month's Personal Computer World magazine. They have a guide to making a £99 PC, which uses a new Intel mobo with soldered on CPU. No good for upgrading, but cheap and Core based. For £200 you could bump up the RAM a bit and have 1TB HD, which would be pretty good.
