It clearly won't bomb, every kid around here loves it and the same goes for in major countries like the US as well. A kid can't go on there own, they'll take friends and family and so on. It'll do well. That's guaranteed. Disney just know now that they can maximise their profits even more.

totally agree with you, Disney know they can maxamize profits through the roof. High School Musical is aimed at children but they would have to bring people with them to see it, so therefore there raking in more then some. Its a clever idea and Disney know it.
As for that though I think the reason there rushing productions is because rumours of Nickelodeon following suit and doing there own musical is on borders.. They said there's will about a choir girl and she meets a rocker and changes her whole choir abit like sister act.

I'm sure they'll do "College Musical" next, with a fantastic scene where Zac Efron's character hangs himself after failing to get into university.

I'd watch that one.

they shouldn't change all the characters, no way am i comparing it to grease but when they changed all the characters noone liked it and it's the same kinda thing.

I watched HSM 1. Didn't watch HSM 2. They can't even act... I just don't get it. They all have fake voices in HSM 1 =S wth?
