Will Windows 7 be good or bad? Your Opinions.

This is a stupid thread, it won't be out for 2 years and we haven't seen hardly any of it at the moment.

I also think that people are against vista because its now the common thing to do... I don't see how it is that much WORSE than XP? Yes it has higher system requirements but XP had much higher requirements than Windows 98 and 2000. Everyone complained then too but finally accepted it.

Apparently none of you know is that Windows 7 is the Vista kernel, just being built up on with all the errors fixed.

What Windows does is raise the system requirements forcing manufacturers to speed up processors and release higher specs, thus giving you faster PC's and more hardware to play with, if anything you should be thankful for Vista.

Vista is decent, its just the people who say it isn't don't have a clue what they are talking about and read all these hate posts on the internet.

Vista is actually very good.

You say whenever someone doesn't like it that they don't have any idea what they're talking about, that's not true, some of us have genuine reasons for not liking the OS. I don't like Vista because I think it's a resource eater, and it overall incompatible with a great deal of things.

It turns out that the Windows Sidebar is going to be built in to the system, rather then being a program. Also; I really think that it's too soon for them to make another operating system while loads of people don't have vista yet (not that I would want it, it's really unstable).

Meh, I don't see the point of it, it's not really different to vista. I like this feature:



On the right of the taskbar, there is a lighter patch. I wonder what that's for?

It's more then a kernel - Julie Larson Green was pointing out the touchscreen features and the taskbar caught someones eye (not to mention the fact that it is touchscreen too):


They now say it's a cheaper, more compact version of the 10,000 pound table thing. "Microsoft Surface".

as for some posts in here, i hate how people hate vista so much. they are usually people that know nothing about the OS itself.

I had an argument with my friend at school, he heard so much bad stuff about vista he had actually decided that xp was better without vista, although he hadnt used vista before... (what a douche!)

As i say, people who hate vista havent used vista or just dont know how to use all the features yet.

People say that no programs work with vista, the drivers dont work. rubbish. I can get any driver i want for my pre-vista mobo/gfx card (and that was within 6 months of having vista when it first came out)

Im hoping windows 7 will carry on from vista actually because i really like the OS. Theres admittedly a few things that could be tweaked, but i would like to see a full 64 bit os, forcing bloody software dev's to make their products 64-bit compatible

I got so annoyed i reverted from 64 bit to 32 bit

Yeh so is XP, and so is windows 2000 :rolleyes:.

I have to agree about the points made mostly here; although it might be less then two years, they haven't given a proper release date yet (I think).
