I used to use brushes all the time in old days...
    But one day I thought:

People just take a brush *click, click, click*, type a word over it or w.e & call it "their" design...
Like what the hell, the brushes were made by someone else, so I decided that day never ever to use anything premade, now I make everything myself, which is a good experiance to be honest, every time you learn some new method to do something and it's more fun to think you made it

(this wasn't aimed at you btw, just in general )

He doesnt just use brushes but even if he did whats it to you? Your average user isnt going to say 'This uses brushes Im not using this site'. Aslong as its asthetically pleasing and works well whats the problem?

I do use brushes on the banners, but a few of the shapes are self-made.

Like I said, the problem is I sometimes see people ex. even on deviantart who put like 4 brushes into eachother, a word with effects over it, and call it THEIR design (with no credit to brush makers what so ever)

That would be the problem, people calling it their own, without creditting the brush-designers.

This is my view on this though...

The only good thing about that is the "Likeblog.in" text.
