Moan moan moan... I think your age could play a factor with them hiring you. I thought for most places you had to be 16 or if it isn't a law I reckon most big companies would only employ 16+ year olds. You'll have to tell them because you're bound to be asked your age and you can't really lie to them if they're interested. Originally Posted by GommeInc

I doubt they'll employ you if you're not 16. I think you can only work a few hours if you don't have a NI number and so it won't be enough hours for them to pay you a regular store wage. Thank you though as because of this thread, I may apply for a job at my Apple store

some companys are tight on age. I think once you tell them your age they will say no (MIGHT SAY YES!) I am working full time (as u know ollie) as an electrician and one day at college, im only alowed to do 40 hours a week or something like that. the only reason why i think they will say no is coz u only want a job for a short time. then again L_w might jump onto you most prob the way ur going LOL

he can't earn over £100 without a national insurance, coz of tax, even if he earned £100.01, he wouldnt be allowed to earn tht much coz over £100 > Eligible to be taxed.
So Yeah earn under £100 > Not taxed! > Free to work without N.I
