The movie wasn't a disaster, true fans who have watched it from the start found the movie to be thoroughly enjoyable and in-depth. If it was that much of a disaster, a sequel wouldn't have been confirmed.

And Jack I don't see how you could have understood it without seeing the series? The series' are as good as the movie and are definitely worth the watch.

A film doesn't need to be a huge success to warrant a sequel. Yes, there is a sequel that has been green-lit, but the first debuted at about number 2 and then just fell out of the box office.

To debut at number 2 is good enough, the storyline was great but for people who didn't even watch the SATC throughougly, cannot be expected to enjoy it to it's full cause because they don't know half of the storylines that are carried throughout the movie, these of which having occured in the series.

If people are just going to watch the movie without watching past series, their views cannot be taken seriously and they cannot be taken as credible sources. It's a better movie than several being released recently. It was an instant classic and it always will be.

It's like The Devil Wears Prada, it got all that hype and success, you hardly hear of it now.

It's alot better than several being released?

Dark Knight, Hulk, Iron Man, Forbidden Kingdom, Wanted

    Does not compare near them.

It already has to fans of Sex and the City, that means more than the opinions of critics I'm afraid.

It's nothing like The Devil Wears Prada. TDWP didn't get 25% of the anticipation that SATC did, it's ridiculous to say otherwise. Yeah, it's a lot better than them films listed, excluding Dark Knight and Wanted.

"Does not compare near them" Yeah erm, in English please?
